Почему гранит предпочитают для кухонных и барных столешниц?
Гранит — самый твёрдый и плотный из всех природных камней. Основными минералами, входящими в состав гранита, являются силикаты, полевой шпат и кварц. Силикаты практически не реагируют с кислотными веществами, такими как лимон (лимонная кислота), уксус, алкоголь и т. п., — то, что регулярно встречается на наших кухнях. Второй важный момент — гранит чрезвычайно долговечен и устойчив к царапинам. Это означает, что кухонная столешница не будет легко поцарапана из-за интенсивного использования ножей и посуды, а также сохранит свой прекрасный блеск гораздо дольше, чем другие камни или керамическая плитка. Полевой шпат в граните делает его наименее водопоглощающим (0,02–0,041 ТП3Т). Это предотвращает проникновение жидкостей в столешницу и их окрашивание материала.
